On Wednesday, July 14, 2022, Bodhikaram Temple celebrated the Asalha Puja to Pay Homage on Full Moon Day of Asalha Month to Express Gratitude to the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha.


Asalha Puja Day (Asanha Puja, Asarnha Bucha, Dhamma Day) is a Buddhist festival that occurs on the full moon of the eighth lunar month, which is usually in July. The festival pays homage to the Buddha and commemorates the Day of Buddha’s Conception, Renounced the World, Buddha's first sermon or Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, the Birth of Sangha (community monks) and the Buddha Performed Miracle at Savathi.
